Since the age of 18 I have worked in the construction world. First as a roof installer, laying shingles on pitched roofs and IB System rubber roofing on flat roofs. With a short stint working first shift at FedEx Ship Center in Appleton, WI, loading and unloading freight from aircraft and tractor trailers. After that I moved on to an apprenticeship under the tutelage of 3 journeymen and a master electrician, in commercial and industrial construction. 4 years of apprenticeship classes at Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. and 8,000 hours of on the job training awarded me a Journeyman Certificate from the Department of Labor in Pennsylvania.I am skilled at many components of the electrical trade including, but not limited to, bending and installing conduit at or above industry standards and codes, with little wasted material. Installing electrical distribution components such as switchgear, transformers, CT cabinets, individual utility meters and modular, bus connected utility meter stacks, branch fed main lug and main breaker panels from Main Distribution Panels. Troubleshooting lighting systems and motors, CNC machines, fire alarms, and line voltage branch circuits.I have experience working with 480Y/277V, 208Y/120V, 120/208V, 120/240V, and 12V and 24V systems. Low Voltage systems include fire alarm and all accompanying devices (Fire Alarm Control Panels, supplemental Power supply panels, annunciator panels, smoke alarms, heat sensors, horn strobes, pull stations, and relays and monitoring modules for sprinkler tamper switches and flow valves), lighting and motor controls, access control, and communications (RG6 and CAT5E/CAT6 including user ends, server racks, UPS, DMARC, MDU). I also have experience, working in elevator pits and top of shaft providing adequate lighting and power for the safety and convenience of service technicians. Digging trenches, using both a shovel and an excavator, for service duct banks, setting transformer vaults for utility primaries, and pouring concrete light bases for site lighting. I am certified in the operation of scissor and boom lifts, rough terrain; warehouse forklifts, and skid steer loaders.I have managed crews ranging from 1-2 technicians with very little experience up to 11 crew members ranging from journeyman status to apprentice to general laborer. Organizing individual and group tasks, with the proper material and adequate information to complete the specific task in a timely and satisfactory manner, on projects from convenience/retail stores, office buildings, and multi-family apartments.
