Community Rights Education: Create and present information on citizen and worker rights to low-income youth at the Lao Family Community Development Center and Oakland residents. Research & Report-building: Created the Fair Labor Oakland (FLO) Toolkit to support FLO, a City of Oakland coalition of organizations that support fair labor practices through education and outreach. The toolkit was produced to assist FLO organizations that do not primarily focus on organizing. It included information on local, state, and national labor standards, and outlined outreach strategies. Coalition Building & Organizing: Support EBASE’s workers’ rights work with the Low Wage Worker Rights and Power Table (LWWRPT).Active campaign work to support the Radisson workers' wage theft determination enforcement. Helped create materials for press conference about the Oakland City Attorney suing the Radisson Hotel for $404,000 in wage theft of 128 workers.Community Outreach: Survey Oakland residents and workers on current working and living conditions to support an Oakland measure to raise the minimum wage. Developing and leading a listening session to deepen understanding of working experiences in Oakland and East Bay.Communications & Media: Use Canva to produce written and visual media for community outreach events and info-graphics for social media.

I offer writing guidance and support to UC Berkeley students through innovative pedagogy styles that encourage student engagement and collaboration. Our focus at the Student Learning Center is not on refining student's writing pieces, but on working with students to understand the writing conventions of their academic discourse and develop confidence in their writing abilities.

I provide student support for Econ 100B, a macroeconomics course at UC Berkeley. At the SLC, we focus on learning through innovative pedagogy in a student-centered framework. In my role, I provide daily drop-in support, create exam review material, and conduct review sessions.

Work individually and collaborate with a team of 10 to mine qualitative and quantitative data and evaluate policy indicators for 50 countries in sustainability, market goods, and public goods to form the Sustainable, Shared-Prosperity Policy Index (SSPI). The SSPI seeks to offer an alternative metric to GDP to answer the question of how well countries doing at guaranteeing wellbeing for people and the planet. SSPI answers this question using data to score country performance across 57 policy indicators grouped into 16 categories.My work in the SSPI focused on the sustainability and public goods policy pillars, and I did extensive research into the validity of our prior data for sustainability. Since I joined the SSPI after many of the indicator policies had been chosen, my work has focused on collecting data and challenging chosen indicators to represent a policy measure. I use Excel, Google Sheets, R code, GitHub, and APIs to collect and organize data from public sources. I analyze performance metrics to determine if they are satisfactory indicators for assessing public policy rather than factors such as geography, finances, and resource access. With the data collected and supplementary research, I examine how countries’ policy indicators may indicate their developmental approach.
