Transitioned to Automation Engineer for the Web client under Slack Platform team. Created several test applications using NodeJs in Express framework for Block Kit, Views States, App Home, etc. The wider engineering teams used these apps for testing, bug fixes and prototypes.Automated UI test cases for Better Reminders, App Profiles, etc., using the Cypress framework. Implemented UI abstraction for Better Reminders, App Permissions, and extended the existing App Home UI abstraction. Took additional responsibility for Slack Web client in addition to Mobile ( Android). Worked with the mobile l10nl and i18n teams to ensure the testing can be outsourced effectively. Block Kit was the key major project which is a UI framework for Slack Apps. It helps developers to construct messages for use in Slack by stacking “blocks” - visual components that can be stacked and arranged to create app layouts. Also worked on Slack Shortcuts which helps users search for a specific action, like setting your status. Collaborated with developers to bring clarity and uniformity for features across all three platforms - Web, Android and iOS.
