I am a curious and self-motivated person with a penchant for applying critical thinking to any undertaking. My background is in molecular biology and biochemistry with experience ranging from protein purification to lipid detection assays.I am currently an R&D Scientist in the biology group at Echelon Biosciences working with mRNA synthesis and LNP formulation. I am also active with science communication within our marketing group and initiated an intern program in 2019.

    Conducted a genome-wide RNAi screen to identify genetic modulators of ALS. This screen revealed a previously uncharacterized interaction between SOD1 and TDP43, two proteins implicated in the pathogenesis of ALS that were previously thought to be mutually exclusive. I also showed that activity of the TrkB neurotrophin receptor could be used to modulate expression of SOD1 in a cell model of ALS.
