As COO of VDX I lead the license application of the group, build out the operations, compliance, client services, finance, research and HR teams, and am responsible for the Hong Kong office. CFAAR is the Crypto Fraud and Asset Recovery network, launched in Hong Kong in September 2023.Originally established in the UK in August 2021, after a delay due to COVID-19 the Hong Kong Chapter was launched simultaneously with the Singapore Chapter, and there is now also a Chapter in New York.CFAAR's aim is to provide a network in the world's main financial hubs, aimed at reducing the amount of crypto fraud and helping victims of crypto fraud recover their assets more efficiently for all involved.Engaging – providing a network for fraud lawyers and professionals, industry and regulators, to discuss crypto fraud and how to reduce and respond to itEnhancing – creating best practice for responding to crypto fraud, including through the Courts and directly with industry playersEducating – creating awareness, but publishing information about types of crypto fraud how to reduce and respond to it The Hong Kong Chapter in particular aims to take advantage of Hong Kong's business environment by engaging not just lawyers and fraud professionals, but also virtual asset industry participants, traditional finance, and regulators / law enforcement to create a more efficient virtual asset industry in the SAR.

As COO at Qantex, a leading OTC- and Exchange-traded brokerage services in Asia, I transformed a local business into an institutional, pan-Asian organization. - I restructured the local company and built an institutional business, and ensured the execution of the strategic vision of the shareholders, a Canadian PE fund. - I expanded operations into new markets, products and customers, increasing revenue by 15%, and established relationships with exchanges and regulators across Asia. - I hired key staff across all functions, and restructured underperforming areas- I regularly prepared and controlled operational budgets. I often created and reviewed financial and operational PE models for future acquisitions on an ad-hoc basis- Brokerage desk heads, middle-office and IT staff reported into me.
