I am Managing Director for Asphalt, MQP & Contracting and board member at Heidelberg Materials in the UK. I'm also a director of the joint venture Smiths Concrete.Before moving back to the UK at the start of 2018, I was Group Director of Strategy & Development for Heidelberg Materials (then HeidelbergCement AG), one of the world’s largest building materials companies. Heidelberg Materials is a Dax 30 company employing some 63,000 people at more than 3,000 locations in around 60 countries. My personal responsibilities included group strategy development, mergers & acquisitions and major CapEx reviews.Before this, I was Managing Director of Hanson’s shipping business in Western Europe and I also held other director-level commercial and business development roles within Hanson UK (now Heidelberg Materials).Before joining Hanson, I was a strategy consultant in a variety of industries and geographies around the world. My sector experience as a consultant includes: aviation, express logistics, steel distribution, utilities, retail banking and payments. I worked with clients on a variety of strategy projects in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America.I hold a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol and MBA from London Business School.
