Counsel men with substance abuse issues within the context of a residential treatment facility. Create treatment plans, relapse prevention skills, mental health and life skills counseling. Oversee admissions processs, conducting initial mental health and recovery readiness assessments. Develop forms and procedures for program standardization and compliance with Massachusetts and Federal regulations.

As a masters level intern in the counseling center, met with approximately 10 students each week who sought help with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, and compulsive behaviors. Group two separate counseling programs designed for optimizing stress, and processing grief.
