• Analyze environmental data (e.g. suspended sediments, currents, water quality) for any impacts on environmental receptors due to works/operations• Coastal marine biodiversity surveys in seagrass, intertidal, mangrove and macrobenthos habitats • Work with instrumentation specialists to assess validation & calibration of Accoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCP)• Assist with 1D hydraulic modelling for stormwater drainage and canals• Undertake baseline data reviews, identification of potential receptors and qualitative impact assessments for desktop EIAs• Facilitate project delivery through client and sub-consultant liaison, scheduling, logistics and cash flow projections• Preparation of technical reports, presentations and proposals

• Educate students on environmental science themes in field settings (tropical rainforest, mangrove, intertidal, coral reef and freshwater ecosystems) throughout Southeast Asia• Provide biological expertise and lead survey-oriented field studies for higher level school requirements (IB, A-LEVEL, GCSE, SAT, MYP etc.)• Engage students in conservation activities such as coastal clean-ups, debates on microplastic, palm oil plantations and the use of flagship species for conservation• Develop programmes and educational presentations for students during field trips• Responsible for the supervision and safety of students in field environments

Final Year Project (FYP) • Examined coral-algal interactions on intertidal seawalls through ecological surveys• Conducted and monitored 12-week field experiment to investigate the effect of turf algae on coral health using biological parameters i.e. Zooxanthellae counts and chlorophyll concentration• Developed a potential non-invasive technique for long-term monitoring of coral health in-situ using image processing software (ImageJ)

• Conducted field surveys to monitor the critically endangered Raffles’ banded langur population• Reviewed and critiqued RBL species action plan• Developed a position paper, infographic and a Facebook Series: “What’s a Raffles’ Banded Langur?” to spread awareness to the public about this critically endangered species

NUS Boulderactive is an annual bouldering competition organised by the NUS Climbing Club. Every year, we attract both local and international competitors to compete in this large-scale and renowned competition.
