Dayna Noffke’s unique brand of dark dramedy and horror writing is fueled by gallows humor and a desire to connect, and draws upon her unique life experiences - from a single mother undergraduate student to special education teacher, roller derby league founder, and beyond. She is drawn to female-powered tales that highlight complex family relationships, and that campion outsiders and underdogs. Her favorite stories live at the intersection of the beautiful and the terrible. Her prior work includes writing short films, features, pilots, and short content for companies like Plott Animation Tokyo. She joined the WGA East after a stint in the all-female writers’ room for a sardonic mom-centered new media series, where she discovered the joys of breaking story as a team. The modern gothic horror feature, Eidolon, which she co-wrote and directed, is currently in post-production.When she’s not mashing the keyboard, you’ll likely find her roller skating, spending time with her family, traveling, or bingeing her favorite films.
