I’m fascinated with what makes people tick. So, I spent time studying humans and why we do the things we do. That’s led to a career of influencing outcomes, whether consumer behavior or employee performance. Here are some “Dayna-points” to highlight my story so far:-I have 25+ years of professional leadership experience. I’ve learned a good leader isn’t savvy at everything but must inspire a vision and create a culture that empowers others to succeed.-I love the world of predictive analytics. I am curious about behaviors represented in the numbers. What stories are revealed? Then the fun part. Develop actions to influence behaviors, measure and predict the future. It’s not magic. It’s math. -I've managed projects off and on since the 1990s. I made it official with my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2017. I am a massive fan of agile and PDSA (plan/do/study/act) approaches. -I’ve led teams of many shapes and sizes but none more empowering (and humbling) than customer experience, direct sales, and contact center teams. There is no better way to understand your business than to walk a mile in your customers’ shoes. Use your products and spend time in your contact center. Successful business leaders understand their customers’ experiences, both good and bad.-A few of my other skills are fundraising, non-profit leadership (7 years), and talent development (forever). I relish helping others establish and achieve their goals. I’ve learned most people want to succeed, and a good leader facilitates that journey while encouraging people to be the best versions of themselves.-I’ve worked in many industries: Telecommunications (13 years), Casino & Gaming (7 years), and Dental Insurance (8 years), to name a few. As a result, I’ve experienced various business practices and learned many lessons along the way—the best and sometimes hardest lessons emerge from the unexpected…what NOT to do next time.-I’m a lifelong learner focused on professional development. I completed many courses over the years, but the highlight was a Master of Science in Business Psychology in 2020, studying human behavior and techniques to improve workplace collaboration. If you aren’t learning and growing, you are getting left behind. That’s me in a nutshell. For more information, please peruse my work history or contact me at dayna.hepper@gmail.com.
