About • I am an outgoing forward-thinking PhD prepared Advanced Registered Nurse with a strong background and passion for alleviating the burden of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. My experiences include complex patients, critical care, cardiology, dermatology, immunology, quality improvement, post anesthesia, outpatient services, research, training, educating, mentoring, advanced practice, gerontology, and rehabilitation. The breadth of my experience encompasses a wide range of titles: Manager, staff nurse, clinician, educator, quality improvement coordinator, and advanced practice. • I enjoy working with people and I can communicate scientific information effectively to a variety of audiences. In addition to my love for science, I have demonstrated many skills like collaboration, teamwork, initiative-taking, self-teaching, and research. One of my greatest accomplishments to date has been volunteering as a member of the National Scientific and Advisory Committee of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation for 8 years. • My strong scientific and medical background includes a PhD in nursing, a master’s degree in critical care and a post masters in family nursing practice. • My entire career and development to date has demonstrated my commitment for lifelong learning. I have a keenness for details and love to challenge myself to master many areas of healthcare. With over 40 years of experience in industry and academia, I am poised to be a definite asset with multiple technical and transferrable skills in a new career endeavor. • Taking care of mind, body and spirit are essential!
