Performed rigorous climate modeling and wrote detailed technical reports to help nonprofits and government agencies adapt to climate impacts and meet new regulations for emissions and climate risk. I wrote the NEPA Climate Report for nonprofits and the U.S. Forest Service for large restoration projects in California, navigating an increasingly complicated network of federal, state, and local planning requirements. Used climate models, weather data, and economic forecasts to create improved projections of critical aspects of the climate system. This research resulted in multiple first-author publications on climate change impacts.

Developed novel methods of wind measurement through drone thermal imaging. Used conventional image processing algorithms and machine learning to estimate wind velocity and surface fluxes.

Supervised and trained staff, planned courses and events, oversaw facilities and operations, taught lessons on a variety of boats, and worked with the board of directors to plan for the future of the club.

Analyzed sensor data and remote observations to improve understanding of turbulence and boundary layer meteorology culminating in a Master's degree with thesis titled "Quantifying the Effects of Surface Thermal Heterogeneity on Dispersive Fluxes in an Idealized Environment."

Researched turbulence in complex environments by conducting field campaigns and processing acquired data. Applied physics based methods and machine learning on atmospheric data to develop improved simulations of near-surface turbulence.

Managed operations and a staff of 30 instructors and facilities personnel at a community sailing foundation in Maine.

Collected geologic data in Alaska during a summer field campaign to improve understanding of the geologic structure and history of central Alaska. Compiled and analyzed observations from previous field work as well as our own campaign.
