Ignition Labs is Australia's first niche seed accelerator program for early stage technologies. Ignition Labs invited a select group of industry executives and entrepreneurs to invest and support the corporate development of participants. Mentored participants, and provided feedback on go to market strategies, pitches and investor decks. Invited to join one of the projects as an executive director. Assisted them to become investment-ready.

Saluda Medical is commercialising an implantable spinal cord stimulator using closed loop feedback control. Saluda was spun out of NICTA, Australia’s leading ICT Research Centre. • Developed financial models, business plans, investment deck and identified new sources of capital.• Established financial management systems and board reporting. • Key role in securing $10m of private capital required to effect spin out from NICTA.• Successful in winning $5m of grant funding.• Managed R&D tax submissions and was successful securing advance finding from the Australian Tax Office for an additional $8m in R&D rebates.

Validated the opportunity, built a management team, recruited high profile CEO and then moved across to CTO/ Director role.
