Utilized web based design and SQL backend database to import and normalize data from multiple data sources to a single data source. Incorporated subscription based users and incorporated security to provide secure bank transaction processing of credit cards for recurring billing purposes. Managed database tables, indexes and stored procedures using MSSQL 2005. Responsible for specification and design requirements, circuit designs, reliability and PCB layouts, prototyping, circuit test/verification, control documentation, test plans, customer/sales support, design review and troubleshooting.Design Engineer: PDH ODU. Responsible for controller/power board in a four board assembly. Design, layout and bring up of RF/Power/Telemetry mux, switch mode power supplies, linear regulation circuits, analog control/sensor circuits, FSK/OOK telemetry, Atmel microcontroller.Design Engineer: PDH ODU Interface. Responsible for specification, circuit design, PCB layout, and test. Circuit design of RF/Power/Telemetry Multiplexer, Atmel microcontroller, linear regulators, ASK/OOK telemetry to RS-232.Design/System Engineer: Ka Band VSAT Transmitter. Responsible for system specification, circuit design of RF/power multiplexer, switch mode power supply, PSOC controller, linear regulators, analog control/sensor circuits, AGC circuits at 1/2 GHz, and low phase noise PLL Synthesizer LO circuits at 10 GHz.Design Engineer: SDH ODU/Interface. Responsible for controller power supply board in a customer specific SDH ODU product. Traveled to customer site with sales to determine customer requirements and interface. Design, layout and bring up of boost and fly-back power supply, linear regulation circuits, power sequencing, analog control and sensor circuits, analog and digital customer interface, microcontroller circuits.

Telecommuting position in which I developed hardware and software as defined by CTO. Responsibilities included writing of end-user and technical documentation, circuit design, board layout, prototype and test of serial protocol interface circuits.Engineer: Serial Protocol Interface. Responsible for design of a proprietary serial interface device to simplify communications between a PC based device and field security devices. Components of design include a micro-controller based circuit, supporting software, specifications, and documentation.Engineer: Smart Card API. Responsible for design and test of a Windows 32-bit API to speed development of smart card based applications. Built a distributable SDK with sample code, Dynamic Link Libraries, and reference manual. Process included development of specification and library function calls, reference documentation, Visual C++ DLL development, and API testing.

Lead Engineer: Wiegand Smart Card Reader. Responsible for design of a Smart Card reader to replace existing Wiegand and Magnetic Stripe card readers for physical access systems. Responsible for embedded system/circuit design, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, component selection, prototyping, JAVACARD applet, lead for firmware, and Application Programming Interface development. Lead Engineer: Biometric Card Reader. Responsible for design of a Windows 98/NT/2000 based integrated RS-232 fingerprint sensor and smart card reader. Responsible for embedded system/circuit design, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, component selection, and prototyping. Developed Software Developers Kit (SDK) that included an Applications Programming Interface (API), and sample applications using Microsoft Visual C++. Authored technical documentation including User’s Manual, Reference Manual, and Installation Guide. Travel to China for manufacturer capability evaluation. Lead Engineer: Physical Access System. Integration of commercially available door lock hardware and design of end-user software into a complete system. Assistance with customer interface, and support for installations. Engineer: Test and Debug of Windows 98/NT/2000 applications. Development started prior to employment. Assessment, reporting, and correction of bugs and omissions in software products. Review and editing of technical documentation. Coordinated 12-week, internal, core value training seminar for new employees.

Worked for corporate security. Responsible for keeping all bank and location emergency contacts up to date for alrm monitoring central station. Worked with alarm system technicians in the field and communications systems to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning alarm systems. Developed and implemented a disaster recover plan for the alarm central monitoring station. Assisted with ATM fraud investigations by review of surveilence video footage. Assisted in all aspects of troubleshooting of local computer/database system and communications equipment to maintain connectivity and performance of the ADT based alarm monitoring station.
