Responsible for design of a proprietary serial interface device to simplify communications between a PC based device and field security devices. Responsible for design and test of a Windows 32-bit API to speed development of smart card based applications. Built a distributable SDK with sample code, Dynamic Link Libraries, and reference manual. Lead Engineer: Wiegand Smart Card Reader. Responsible for design of a Smart Card reader to replace existing Wiegand and Magnetic Stripe card readers for physical access systems. Developed Software Developers Kit (SDK) that included an Applications Programming Interface (API), and sample applications using Microsoft Visual C++. Worked for corporate security. Responsible for keeping all bank and location emergency contacts up to date for alrm monitoring central station. Worked with alarm system technicians in the field and communications systems to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning alarm systems. Developed and implemented a disaster recover plan for the alarm central monitoring station. Assisted with ATM fraud investigations by review of surveilence video footage. Assisted in all aspects of troubleshooting of local computer/database system and communications equipment to maintain connectivity and performance of the ADT based alarm monitoring station.
