In 2023 I chose to step down from the Director of Application Development position and move back into a technical role as a Full-Stack Software Engineer. Why? We were rewriting our Endowment and Trust Accounting system from a Java/Linux/Oracle tech stack to a C#/WindowsServer/MSSqlServer stack while also transitioning our development teams to adopt Agile methodologies. The role change allowed me to better align my interests to my daily work and also contribute my talents to the development team to meet a tight project deadline. While I did step away from people management, I did not walk away from leadership opportunities. I maintained a role on the Program Team to help steer the project and was named the Scrum Master of the development team. This servant leader role has served me well as I get to write SQL and C# code on a daily basis but can also positively impact the project by contributing my experience implementing enterprise systems to my developer peers and the functional project stakeholders.
Listed skills include Data Analysis, Sql, Oracle, Java, and 10 others.
