He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at ECE, one of the largest non-profit organizations providing credential evaluation services for individuals, institutions, & employers worldwide.As the COO, Dan oversees all aspects of ECE's business operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, & compliance with industry standards and best practices. He also leverages his expertise in CX management & process improvement to enhance ECE's customer satisfaction and growth objectives. Dan is a certified Six-Sigma Greenbelt and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa. He is passionate about creating operational excellence & delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovation and technology.Prior to his current role with ECE, Dan was the Vice President of Operational Excellence for the Gustave Larson Co. in Pewaukee WI, joining the company in 2014. Larson is the Midwest, Plains, and Mountain States leading wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment, parts, and supplies. Gustave Larson was acquired by Hajoca Co. in Jan'23.Dan was formerly the Sr. Director of Customer Experience (CX) at Briggs & Stratton, a leading world-wide provider of small engines and outdoor power equipment in Milwaukee, WI. During his 6 yr. tenure at B&S, he lead the CX group focused on supporting consumers and dealers through the entire buying cycle. Parallel to his CX Leadership role, Dan also lead Lean Kaizen initiatives and training at their Corporate HQ, & supported the acquisitions of Victa (Australia), & Branco (Brazil). Prior to B&S, Dan was with General Electric in WI & IA, leading Collections/Litigation groups for G.E. Capital & G.E. Healthcare Financial Solutions. During his time with G.E. Dan earned his Green Belt Certification in Six-Sigma methodology through projects in both locations. These projects lead to $1.2MM in support cost savings and improved recoveries to $11MM annually. Dan started his career at Ameritrade Holding Corporation in Omaha, NE. During his six-year tenure he rose to the position of Operations Manager of their Clearing Division, managing the day to day operations & projects for that entity. Dan was also a leader of the Operations conversion for the Datek-Ameritrade merger in 2002.
