As a graduation intern, I conducted research in the possibility to optimise the tactical planning of the radiology department. This research supports the goal of the hospital to achieve integral capacity management.

As a Test Coordinator & Master Data Manager during an ERP implementation project, I focus on two important aspects. SIGVARIS has multiple Legal Entities all over the world and all these locations are moving from their current system to a centralised ERP system, called Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations. As a Master Data Manager I guided the data owners from each legal entities, collected and managed their local data requirements and created a global solution that fits into Dynamics 365. I have also designed a data governance organisation to guard the quality and new structure of the master data.As a Test Coordinator I implemented a test strategy and I guide and instructed the local test teams during the test phases of the project. I managed the local and overall test portfolio and closely monitored the test results and progress.

I started working for Apparatenfabriek ARA (ffr. ARA) after successfully finishing my Bachelor thesis there. I studied the possibilities of improving the business processes and reducing the throughput time as a part of a larger corporate project to implement improvement methods, such as Lean Manufacturing and Quick Response Management. I focused on the production line of one specific product and I supported the overall strategy. On top of that I worked on the improvement of the quality process and the custom made quality management system.

At ARA I have put my theoretical knowledge to the test, as I worked on my thesis on how to reduce the lead time in one of the production lines. I used my knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and QRM (Quick Response Manufacturing) to optimise the production processes.

Enschede

As a part of a committee of five, I organised a ten week long study programme with as highlight the two week long Study Tour to South Africa. With a group of 27 students, we did research in Lean Manufacturing and its implementation in South African manufacturing companies. My main responsibility was to get into contact with companies in Johannesburg and Cape Town and to arrange the visits. Additional benefit of the study programme is that all students earned a Lean degree.
