As an Associate Professor of Practice at Lingnan University, I lead the integration of Generative AI (GenAI) and Music Technology into both teaching and research. My focus is on creating innovative courses that merge STEAM education with practical applications of AI, providing students with hands-on experience in using AI-powered tools to create music. By integrating arts and technology, I aim to nurture a generation of leaders who understand the societal and creative potential of AI in the arts.In addition to course design, I am actively involved in research that explores the intersection of AI, creativity, and music. I have successfully secured grants to support projects that examine the role of AI in music education and its practical applications in Performance as Research (PAR). My work includes curating AI-assisted electroacoustic performances for key university events, demonstrating the transformative power of new technologies in performing arts.I am also committed to inclusivity in education, developing tailored learning experiences for students with special educational needs (SEN). These initiatives ensure that all learners can benefit from technology-enhanced education. Furthermore, I lead cross-disciplinary collaborations across departments, promoting interdisciplinary research and expanding the scope of traditional music education.My role extends to public engagement, where I work to promote the societal benefits of STEAM education and GenAI applications in the arts, ensuring that these innovations are accessible to a broader audience.

We design learning experiences for youth from challenging backgrounds. By teaching STEM through the Arts (STEAM), with strong connections to the National Curriculum, our levels of engagement, public outreach and follow-up is unprecedented. Students learn key employability skills for the digital industries and acquire interpersonal skills through teamwork, peer feedback and performance.● Management of simultaneous end-to-end projects, and a team of six between Workshop Leaders, Pastoral, and Tech.● Creation and maintenance of stakeholders’ portfolio, from tech startups, schools and local music hubs across England.● Design and delivery of international tours in Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and across Europe.● Data collection via online feedback and video interviews. TCCE is a network of 14 Higher Education institutions established in 2005, focusing specifically on knowledge exchange, collaboration and wider engagement between the research base and the arts, cultural and creative sectors. TCCE is the lead partner for Creativeworks London’s Knowledge Exchange Programme, one of 4 such hubs in the UK funded through the Arts and Humanities Research Council. We have also just launched our new national Pilot Programme, entitled The Exchange, funded by ACE and HEFCE.• Strategic programmes design and local, national and European level.• Creation and maintenance of stakeholders’ portfolio, funding bodies, individual researchers, research groups, entrepreneurs.• Digital, Budgeting and Communication strategies.• Designer of a new set of activities called Impossible Partnerships, targeting a lack in the previous provision.• Developmental activities and coordination of grant applications and funding bids.• Server maintenance, web design and copy, tech support for the whole company, re-design of cloud and data sharing systems, workflow streamlining.

I plan and provide 1-2-1, group and class lessons for key stage 1-4 students in a variety instruments including jazz and classical piano, drums and musical theory. I ensure that students are fully prepared for examinations for ABRSM and RockSchool and produce comprehensive reports for students to support their learning.

I designed and taught engaging lessons to students, ensuring learning objectives were achieved. I produced assessments and ensured course content was appropriate to prepare students for examinations. My duties included creating resources for the virtual learning environment. I disseminated findings by publishing them on the peer reviewed journal Tuttitalia.

I have assisted with the recording and mastering of audio materials, completed video pre and post production, archived footage and streamed video live. My role has encompassed managing the stage and mentoring students during the organisation of events. Additionally, I coordinated live events, distributed mailshots and maintained the sales database.
