Colleagues describe him as "I was Donald's technical supervisor for his summer 2010 internship at Bose. Donald wrote a C++ logger application for a high end embedded application. Devices could log in their process or send log messages to a server process via sockets. I was very impressed with how quickly Donald learned. Even though he had not used C++ since high school his code was soon product quality and well tested. He introduced the group to Google's unit test framework. C++ is not an easy language, yet by the end of the summer Donald was comfortable with many of its more difficult aspects. Basically he worked his way through anything we threw at him. Donald was a full member of the group, contibuting both to the code and to the design discussions. He's a nice person who works well with others. Everyone in the group enjoyed having him with us. I would definitely hire Donald if the opportunity presents itself."
