The role involved the organization of large third-party offshore teams and small SITA teams to produce monthly releases of new functionality together with any associated external dependencies. The scope of the role was later expanded to include Inventory, Availability and Scheduling (HIAS), Departure Control System (HDCS) and eCommerce together with the responsibility for the support and deployments on all environments from the initial testing platform through to production.• Development of Next Gen Reservations from scratch using innovative ‘factory agile’ methodology • Turnaround of failing Inventory/Availability/Scheduling project on two separate occasions• Delivery of initial release of Departure Control System (DCS) into production • Subsequent addition of close to 400 new DCS features across a two-year period • Successfully transformed troubled eCommerce application through to product launch• Introduced automated deployments across entire platform using CA Release Automation tool• Engineered nightly software updates to the testing environment to improve testing efficiency• Delivered a major middleware upgrade across entire suite, received a Bravo award for this work • One of a small number to receive a substantial incentive in 2017 to remain with the programme• One of three mandatory approvers for all software releases into production

Initially working on a five-phase project (FMD) to provide centralized insight, control and distribution for all the fares and associated rules British Airways were offering in the marketplace. After almost three years on the project a change in role was taken to become an onsite manager delivering many IT systems within Terminal 5 ahead of its opening (all of which worked). The final position at BA was part the senior team for a newly created BA subsidiary airline reporting to the directors and occasionally the CEO. This was a complete airline in miniature. • BA subsidiary - delivered the original ground operations solution and subsequent roll out to the remaining airports on the network. • BA subsidiary - ‘day two’ enhancements added to the commercial website and the introduction of a new content management system• BA subsidiary - created the full IT specification and installation plans for a new office in New York • Onsite manager - successfully implemented IT systems within the new terminal, including lounges, check-in desks, staff travel and crew areas• Onsite manager - stream controller for several flight switches including the move of all flight and cabin crew to the new facility split by short haul and long haul. • FMD application - Responsible for initial supplier selection through to final implementation of the Fares Management and Distribution application handling public and private fares and competitor price monitoring.

Working in four different departments (Customer Loyalty, Departure Control, BA.com, Revenue Management) as a project manager responsible for the planning, costing, resource allocation and management of the team to build, test and deploy bespoke IT solutions to meet the department needs. • Revenue Management - built a team from scratch that delivered a new decision support application in an unfamiliar technology (Essbase). The application included inventory, network contributions, market share, exception reporting and produced reports that were presented to the board each Monday morning. • BA.com - delivered a portal on the BA.com website for small to medium business ventures to enroll and track their activity in the corporate loyalty scheme. • BA.com - produced a complete redesign of the BA.com website together with a reworking of the underlying architecture to introduce a content management system• Departure Control - provided the software updates required to handle electronic ticketing in the DCS application, including coordination of the dependent changes in both the reservations and the ticketing departments • Departure Control - doubled the capacity of the DCS system so that a significant number of carriers could be added (driven by alliances) • Customer Loyalty - redeveloped the customer loyalty tracking system that lies at the heart of its Executive Club scheme to ensure all journeys were captured and overnight processing could be achieved within the allowed tolerances.• Customer Loyalty - set up of a Japanese service centre in Tokyo.
