• Designed stereo camera bars, roll cage elements, and other miscellaneous components for a disaster relief robot, RoboSimian, that achieved 5th place in the DARPA robotics challenge (DRC).
• Organized the shipping logistics to transport two robots and their support equipment to the DRC.
• Designed and constructed a prototype sensor probe in under three weeks, which was used to take measurements within volcanic vents.
• Used 3D printing to make a monolithic compliant finger whose closure order mimicked human fingers. This was one of the first uses of 3D printing that printed the flexure and structure as a single piece.
