David was a contracted consultant within ContinuitySA’s risk advisory division, with his role being to lead Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery projects - delivering value to client organisations though implementing, reviewing, improving, testing and training for business resilience programmes.As part of implementing projects, activities include executive buy-in presentations, identifying requirements by gathering and analysing of information through workshops. Development of strategies and plans to address requirements and document activities. Development of policies to support the maintenance and improvement of programs. David was a Manager in KPMG’s IT risk advisory division, with his focus and role being to lead the national Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery service line. Delivering value to clients through implementing programmes to improve business continuity, IT DR and crisis management capabilities.His role involved new business development through various channels in bringing Business Continuity Management consulting services to market. This included international travel for bid and conference presentations, pre-sales solution / contract development and the delivery of projects.The role also involved the oversight and management of significant projects for clients across various industries, client liaison, contract management, resource and project management.In addition, he was extensively involved in the Practice Design and Management for KPMG and clients, and included assisting with methodology improvements, staff coaching and development.David was successful in assisting to secure KPMG as the preferred supplier of BCM and business risk management services to a large telecommunications provider in Africa.
