A Ph.D. level experimental physicist with 10+ years of experience working with an interdisciplinary team of physicists, mathematicians, and engineers to perform laboratory and computational studies of turbulent fluid flows. Strong background in quantitative flow diagnostic techniques and visualization and analysis of complex three-dimensional data. Developed, fabricated, and maintained mechanical, electronic, and optical systems of an experimental test facility designed to validate turbulence models based on dynamical systems theory. Extensive experience with computer-hardware interfacing for automation, control and data acquisition.Strong computational background with programming proficiency in several languages including MATLAB, Python, and C++ and experience with the development, validation, and optimization of numerical models. Close familiarity with common engineering applications including LabVIEW, SolidWorks, TecPlot, Fluent, and MS Excel. Working knowledge of numerical methods for computational fluid dynamics (CFD).Excellent communication skills honed by frequent presentations at professional meetings, publishing research findings in academic journals, and six years of award-winning teaching.
