SolaVida is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the community of people taking action to reverse global warming, promote clean energy, and generally advance the dialogue on climate change. A key piece of the puzzle is the creation of messages and actions that motivate people. Not all people with one monolithic approach. But, one group at a time - based on shared values and perspectives. Everyone's views will always be connected to carbon pollution, because climate change is going to change everything. I have led or been a team member for more than a hundred communication projects - including creating and managing social/paid media campaigns.Among other work, SolaVida has brought together medical and health professionals who are trying to wake people up regarding the devastating impact climate change will have on the health of their kids and their communities. This includes launching groups of medical and health professionals whose mission is to speak out in support of smart and equitable clean energy and climate policy, programs and investments. We also developed and ran one of the first projects examining the impacts of climate change on mental health. SolaVida launched in 2014 with www.divestor.org - a project designed to help people understand that how they can easily align (or, how to tell their investment advisors to align) their investments with a desire to not make money from the industry that is destroying the planet - the fossil fuel industry.

My consulting practice focuses on the intersections of climate change, clean energy, community health and impacts on vulnerable populations. This work is a mix of policy and communication work for NGO clients, and financial and technical consulting services to health care system leadership teams.
