My focus is on working with people who are passionate about making the world a more humane and healthy home for all people.These days my main focus is on reducing carbon pollution - through development of creative, engaging connections that will help drive an equitable and aggressive shift to a new global energy economy. I'm interested in on-the-ground action, including accelerating investment in clean energy and adoption of smart policy solutions. The second part of my work-life focuses on addressing well-being and burnout among people who spend their lives helping others - especially in medicine and education. As is true of the environment, many institutions in the United States are largely headed in the wrong direction with respect to how they think about and support people who spend their lives helping others.Generally, I'm very interested in insights regarding what makes different groups of people tick. We need to be more curious about each other. The sense of community in many Western societies has been fracturing for decades. Hopefully, people begin to embrace the idea that it's time to reinvent ourselves, and to reverse the negative trends undermining society that have become normal.Its time to get moving...
