PAT Learning Solutions has merged with Noordhoff Uitgevers and are located at division Houten (Noordhoff Health).The daily tasks include altering special server software like Bobcat Console, the Bobcat Service and PulseWeb by creating new features, extending existing features, refactoring functionality and solving bugs.Evaluate incoming requests for alterations by customers and colleagues and write functional designs.Code changes are implemented test driven and sometimes by pair programming.Our software consists of the following programming languages: .net (asp.net (vb), mvc, c#), jquery, prototype, javascript, razor, css, less, SQL, Linq.Currently we are working with multiple teams (co-located) on the same codebase.The codebase is under version control (TFS).For keeping track of what is expected to be done first, we implemented the SCRUM framework.To optimize mainenance we're using Kanban in a SCRUM framework for the maintenance team.Each team has his own Product Owner and Scrum Master. I'm helping/coaching them to overcome the impediments they run into.All teams have the same length of sprint (two weeks). At the end of 2014 we've passed the sprint 100 milestone.For personal motivation and product inovation we've introduced FedEx days for the entire company. Our customers are using SOAP to retrieve the results.Created some PlanetPress plugins that work faster and more stable than the default supplied plugins. The plugins are written as a C# console application. The created plugins are:Logging, FTP (download, upload, existence), SQL database actions (insert, delete, update), inputdatabase converter to xml.
