This included civil aeronautical data (airspace, aerodromes, runways, approach paths, etc), military aeronautical data (airspace, base and training area boundaries, MTRs) as well as other data required to fulfil national, state/provincial or civic regulations (park boundaries, hospital locations, etc). Once the data was sourced, was responsible for documenting all processes (retrieval, transformation, ingest) to get the data such that it could be used within the Skyward environment.During Skyward's early period was instrumental in enabling Skyward to leapfrog the competition by adapting technology from World Flight Planner for use within Skyward. Led the conversion of the Rails app from one that could only be used by a single corporate entity (in this case, WineCollective) to one that could be used with a SAAS business model, following a partial pivot by BlackSquare and the rebranding of the SAAS product as the Blackboxx Platform.Led the development team throughout multiple large, internal projects to update or add functionality to the Blackboxx Platform, including updates to the checkout subsystem, third-party integrations and the complete overhaul of the Blackboxx API.
