David received a Queens Counsel appointment in 2009 from the Lt. Governor of Saskatchewan in recognition of his contribution to the legal profession in Saskatchewan and was further honoured in 2012 for his contribution or distinguished service to his community with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. David was subsequently honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022.He also has been granted Lifetime Member Honors by the Global Directory of Who’s Who for demonstrating leadership and achievement in his profession. He has also received a CV peer review rating consistently for the last ten years from the prestigious Lexis-Nexis/Martindale Hubbell organization for having high legal ability and ethical standards. He continues to practice in the areas of corporate and commercial law with a particular emphasis on corporate finance, real estate, and securities law with Willows Wellsch Orr & Brundige LLP. He currently is the Chair of Horizon West Infrastructure Fund Inc and it’s parent company Q4 Capital Corp. He is a former member of The Board of Economic Development REGINA, a past chair of the Saskatchewan Angel Investment Network (SAINt), and the southern Saskatchewan Canadian Bar Association Securities Section. David is active in his community as the Chair of the Sask Government House Foundatlon, and previously was a member of the Senate of the University of Regina. He has been politically active as a candidate for the Liberal Party and is the former Vice President for the Liberal Party of Canada-Saskatchewan. .
