Served on the board two years and on the executive for the past two years. I take over as board chair / president at the end of June 2024.

We’re doing what smart watches have done for exercise and applying the concept to cybersecurity awareness. Our cloud-based platform gives employees a powerful personal cyber-risk coach empowering them to improve their cybersecurity practices and behaviours.

Helped UNB become a leader in the innovative use of web, mobile and in information security technologies. Reduced an unwieldy institutional website by more than 90%, re-organizing it into an effective recruitment platform. Led an effort that reduced our mobile carrier costs by more than 44% while increasing productivity. Led the launch of UNB's first mobile app, which was used more than 175,000 times by 7,700 users in its first year. Led the introduction and implementation of technologies and practices that reduced threats to UNB’s cybersecurity by 86%.

Set strategic goals and priorities for various UNB web properties. Provided strategic counsel regarding the integration of web and social media technologies into wider UNB communications & marketing initiatives.

Co-led the UNB cross-functional group responsible for website overhaul. Developed web strategies and plans for university as a whole as well as for specific faculties and departments. Developed and implemented social media strategy for the university. Created, edited and deployed web content including written pieces, imagery, video and more.

I provided marketing and communications consultative services to small and medium-size firms as well as non-profits, with a focus on web and social media.

Elected to the volunteer local service district advisory committee for a two-year term. LSD committee advises the Minister of Local Government on matters relating to the community.

Wrote about technology and society in one of the most popular blogs on Canadaeast.com. Reviewed latest technologies (new OSes, mobile devices, computer and gaming equipment).

Wrote about high-profile business and provincial news. Covered the 2006 provincial election campaign daily from the political party buses.

Oversaw business and editorial aspects of the not-for-profit student newspaper. Helped grow advertising revenue significantly, supervised overhaul of content that led to improved readership and reputation.

Served on the board of directors for the company, helping guide company's goals and strategy.Represented shareholders (student newspapers in the advertising / marketing co-op from Atlantic Canada) and advocated for them at the national level.

Served as the Atlantic region's board representative for Canada's national student media co-operative and chaired meetings over the course of the year.

Served with the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's) in Sussex. Trained as a light armoured vehicle driver and gunner. Trained as an officer, completed several leadership courses (2001-2003).
