CurrentDesigns and develops products including verification, validation, and First Article InspectionWrites G-code to operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining of subminiature lighting components, including precision machined optical filtersMonitors and inspects light measurement (radiance/luminance/chromaticity) for optical filters for aerospace, defense, and search & rescue applications, including night vision imaging systems (NVIS)Creates and drafts SolidWorks controlled engineering drawings; defines and drafts CNC and assembly work orders per controlled engineering drawingsCreates new, and monitors and evaluates existing, SPC process-control techniques (e.g., Pareto Charts, Histograms, and Cause & Effect Diagrams)Plans, coordinates, schedules, and conducts detailed phases of mechanical and electronics engineering projectsEvaluates new materials, monitors and improves thermal management; monitors, evaluates and improves production tooling design and techniqueInterfaces with customers and customer engineering teams to help develop new products and problem-solves quality or performance issues with current productsTravels for onsite company visits and attends industry functions; company-sponsored membership in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) to attend and participate in SAE A20-C subcommittee meetingsExecutes yearly internal audits in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
