• Increased revenue share from insurance brokers and Broker General Agencies by introducing an electronic commission feed, which improved the timeliness of information they receive from Prudential, and reduced costs associated with manual reporting and data entry. Used the industry standard ACORD XMLife model. Initiated changes to the ACORD model to support the business requirements. • Contributed to and edited the "NAILBA Commissions Implementation Guide for ACORD XMLIFE" to assist carriers and brokerage houses with the conversion of NAILBA commission feeds to the ACORD standard. NAILBA is the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies. • Mapped data from the EZData CDS CMS database to the user interface to complete data traceability from the policy administration systems to the end user. • Successfully converted three client-server applications (Visual Basic/Sybase) to an intranet .NET environment with TAM (Tivoli Access Manager) security. Elicited from the business users what functions needed to be retained, modified, or added during the conversion.• Served as Project Manager and Lead Analyst for three client-server applications (VB front/Sybase database), including all ongoing maintenance releases, ad hoc queries (SQL on Sybase using DBArtisan), production support, system upgrades, privacy compliance verification, disaster recover planning and testing, and creation and maintenance of runbooks. • Participated on a team that won the Prudential Business Value Award for dramatically improving turn-around time to add or modify broker contracts for our Data Aggregator feeds from two weeks to two minutes. The project created a subscriber database with an intranet application front end for the business users.• Supported the creation of the Prudential Outbrokerage General Agency by mapping incoming Outbrokerage commission feeds from multiple insurance carriers into the Prudential-required information, and then testing the feeds.

• Co-developed the “Project Initiation” process to manage systems work coming into the department, and the process to request programming work from an outsourced vendor. • Co-developed the Prudential Requirements Process, including the Business Requirements Template.

• Managed the development and support of a PC-AS/400 client server application that provided contact management capabilities to our field sales force. The system was custom-developed for Prudential by a software vendor located in Kansas, and it was written in C, C++, and COBOL/400. The system took weekly client feeds from the mainframe. I was responsible for managing all aspects of the SDLC, as well being the lead analyst for the mainframe feeds. I also reviewed end-user documentation and training materials. • Participated on the Field Reengineering Study Team off-site for 6 weeks, while still maintaining my regular job responsibilities. The technology sub-team I was on worked with the operations teams to document current processes and recommend ways to streamline the New Business Application Process.
