As an Allocation Intern for SPARC group, I split time between the Nautica and Lucky Brand Allocation Teams to mathematically and strategically decide how many of each of the company’s products were to be sent from the Distribution Center and transported to whichever of the 156 Chain stores, on a weekly basis. My responsibilities focused on Women’s Denim, jewelry, and accessories for Lucky Brand, as well as shoes, T-shirts, and accessories for Nautica. This would be done using the JDA, LBI, microstrategy, and Microsoft Excel programs.Additionally, I would run reports on WOS and inventory data to outline which stores are most efficient and productive.

As an Omni-Ambassador, I gained experience in teamwork and customer relations by working within the retail aspect of the supply chain. My responsibilities included working with the BOPIC (buy online, pick-up in club) team to ensure that online orders were completed properly, curbside and in-club orders were provided to the customer timely, products were correctly recorded as out-of-stock or in-steel through the SAP database, and the appearance of the club was upheld through reshops and backshops.Efficiency was the goal as metrics for the BOPIC team were continuously in focus. This helped shine light on the value of reducing errors and quantifying our successes. Due to my natural ability to lead, this job placed me in a position where managers valued my decision-making, and appreciated my ability to delegate work and inspire my teammates to uphold an efficient work ethic.
