Software Developer
I worked on continued development of the cloud-based ERP system Paragon as a full-stack developer and a DevOps engineer. My responsibilities were split into two main categories:Full-stack development• Developed new features, including the system's dashboard, mainly using JavaScript/CSS• Added functionality in the back-end, specifically among several microservices integrated with the system, including but not limited to QuickBooks, Shopify and Amazon; all written as node.js services.• Used SQL queries as necessary to gather data from the back-end• Improved the back-end architecture by refactoring code, adjusting the queueing system and supporting senior developers with designing more robust infrastructureDevOps• Created and maintained kubernetes clusters holding the system's infrastructure• Pushing major/minor releases per 2-week sprint to the production environments• Coordinated with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure stable deployment• Orchestrated PostgresSQL upgrades to all clusters, including managing downtime and executing rollout using shell scripting• Organized client/tenant migrations cross-cluster with bash scripts• Improved nightly backup bash scripts running in a deployed VM on a cron job• Monitored GCP nodes, kubernetes containers and logging for team support
Graduate Student
I completed a Master's Thesis in Fluid Dynamics & Aerospace Engineering at McGill University. My research investigated the unsteady aerodynamics of quadrotor UAVs, specifically the wall effects on propeller rotors. Throughout my graduate degree, I:• Designed, built and tested quadrotor UAVs in the aerodynamics lab, recording 6 DOF wall effects.• Developed a single propeller model using fundamental fluid dynamic theory, specifically 3D potential flow and method of images• Designed two experiments to verify the developed model. First, to measure force/moment changes due to wall effects. Second, using 2D planar PIV to investigate velocity profile changes due to wall effects.• Proposed my conclusions to extend research into multi-rotor aerodynamic modelling and design of multi-rotor UAVs
Engineering Undergraduate Teaching Assistant
I was a teaching assistant for a variety of courses throughout my graduate degree, listed below:• MECH 533 (Subsonic Aerodynamics): Developed an engineering competition where 4 teams of 10 students must design a UAV propeller and pitch their concept to the professor and I.• MECH 262 (Measurement Lab & Statistics): Guiding and instructing students during their weekly mech labs and to write technical engineering reports. Graded lab reports, and helped with course content.• FACC 300 (Engineering Economy): Giving lectures/tutorials and holding office hours. Supported the transition to online format, including developing exam questions. Course content: basic accounting, time-value of money, taxes, project evaluation, bonds, stocks, etc.• MECH 201 (Intro to Mechanical Engineering): Created and supervised the final project design competition for 180 students. Taught SolidWorks to first-year students unfamiliar with CAD software, so they’d be able to design a chassis to be laser cut.
Post-Production Engineering
Worked with the post-production engineering team at Siemens. I specifically was working on building a database and visual map for troublesome components on the SGT-A65 engine. The position also required safety evaluation and investigation of various engine components on both the SGT-A65 and SGT-A45. Collaboration with the Siemens workshop, along with the experts of various departments at the company was required to properly execute my tasks.
R&D Software Engineering Intern
I was tasked with helping the development of the web-based ERP software produced by Jonar Systems Inc. The small R&D team (<8 programmers) used an agile work environment, of two week sprints to accomplish tasks. The position ranged from debugging small bits of code, to handling back-end technical debt of the system software, in addition to some front-end development of new designs/features.
Open Air Pub Manager

Specifically,• Organized and executed a nine-day music festival hosting over 5000 students, generating $300,000 in revenue• Ran staff operations and training of over 400 student volunteers• Supervised food operations (preparations/cooking), managed inventory, ensured proper health and food safety
Academic Tutor
Taught 6th grade enriched math at Gardenview Elementary School, in addition to tutoring Math, Physics, Chemistry and English up to the SAT/CEGEP level.
