My name is Denesha Campbell, I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself, I am a single mother of two energetic and happy boys ages 6 and 12. I am the true definition of strong, ambitious, driven and humble person. I work very hard at my goal because I have people depending on me. I was born and raised in a country where your goal is nothing but merely a dream; it is unachievable. I have struggled to get to this point in my life, raising my children on my own my eldest was diagnose with autism, working and attending college full-time it is no joke. It can be a challenge and mentally exhausting at times. I cannot tell you how many times I was told to quit or just find yourself a full-time job, or I get the question why you’re always in school. But I don’t let the negative comments stop me I keep persevering. I refuse to be statics. My journey as been abhorrent, there is even times when I doubt myself. However, I am tenacious, and I will fight to the end. I have been on my own since the age of nineteen, I want to be of encouragement to other young single mothers, to let them know they can do it, it might take some time and might even seem impossible, but I am here to tell you, your goals and aspirations are attainable.
