PhD exploring simulated technical skills assessment within surgical training programmes. My focus is on validation of an existing simulation-based skills programme and quality assurance processes used in these programmes. I have gained extensive experience in surgical simulation, specifically physical synthetic and cadaveric models. I am involved in the design and implementation of a large scale simulation assessment programme, designing bespoke procedural assessment tools and carrying out validation of these tools.

RMO at HCA Harley Street, caring for NHS, private and international patients. I manage patients in the peri-operative period, conduct daily ward rounds, manage surgical complications as required and communicate effectively with consultants to ensure effective and safe patient care. I currently manage patient across a range of specialties including: General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Maxillofacial and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Pan-london initiative set up during COVID to provide online medical student teaching. Online platform utilising bitesize video tutorials.

Development and implementation of an online revision platform for Imperial College London. This included bespoke platform design, creation of targeted digital content to support learning and supporting the redesign of the undergraduate surgical curriculum. I worked closely, and developed strong professional relationships, with leading senior clinicians and academics.

I undertook placements in Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry.

I undertook placements in Rheumatology/Endocrinology, General Surgery, Geriatric Medicine. I cared for acute medical and surgical patients, independently managing complications within my clinical team, and working effectively as part of a team. I also engaged in clinical governance, designing and undertaking a quality improvement project which identified reasons for delayed patient discharges and resulted in the allocation to the surgical department of increased community bed numbers allowing discharge of medically fit patients. This saved the trust bed space and costs, allowing increased operations to take place.
