My time at Affiliated Financial Planners has given me experience in a vast amount of areas of Financial Advising. I have become very efficient with a portfolio risk analysis program, Riskalyze, that has given me great insight on the sensitivity of stocks, bonds, and annuities.I am tasked assignments by the advisors to run clients through this program. I, then, create a full report, and present it back to the advisors before they enter meetings with clients. This process has enhanced my communication skills and has even given me the opportunity to explain the process to clients in meetings.Social media is a big part of my internship. I have updated the company's website, Facebook, and LinkedIn to successfully increase traffic, and I've helped each advisor improve their own personal social media tools and profiles as well.The partners at the firm have also allowed me to sit in on meetings with wholesalers, so I am continually learning about the products available in the market, while networking with those who come in.

I became very successful at comforting customers with my sense of humor and charm, while still showing a true sense of reliability. Despite my short time at the company, I quickly rose to being one of the more trusted employees and was often delegated the leadership over others when our manager was not present.

While working at the Garden Center, I learned the value of true work ethic. Manual Labor has taught me how to keep persisting even with elements working against me. It takes character, strength, and tenacity.My duties included loading and unloading trucks, moving plants and trees, and carrying large bags of mulch, sand, and sod in 100 degree heat 5 days/wk 12hrs/day.Aside from all the physical aspects of the position, I, also, had to learn on the run about every product sold at the garden center. From plants (how tall they'll grow, what kind of shade do they need, how often do you water them) to pesticides (which would be effective for a specific problem) to prices, I had to be able to answer any question customers asked me so we could make the sale.

While at Rascal's, I consistently interacted with customers of all ages. Mostly, I would operate the bigger games at the restaurant, such as Laser Tag, Bumper Cars, and the Rock Climb.At these stations, my number one priority was to make sure all participants were safe and then I made sure they had fun. Patience was a big virtue, especially when little kids and protective parents are involved. I always kept my calm and respected each customer no matter how difficult they were.Despite being my first part-time job, I took away how to excel at customer service which has helped me in every job since.
