I am a platform architect with 26+ years of IT experience in project management focusing on network and platform design, branching out to application development utilizing agile methodology to expedite projects.Working mainly in the food, financial, educational and petrochemical industries in AMEA and Europe with multiple cultures in a diverse environment helped in developing my interpersonal skills along with my adaptability to most any situation. Of these 6 years were spent as team leader of two global teams with team members based in Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Namibia, United States, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. As team leader of a global team I establishing a culture of work excellence leading to higher productivity while providing strategic direction to my team through constant research of new technologies and information gathering.Having gained operational experience in several mature, large-scale global organizations’ information technology departments developed my ability to communicate effectively up and down across the organisations improving my written and verbal communications skills.Being adaptable and quick to learn new skills, analyse a problem and implement a suitable solution is one of my strongest assets. I can work without supervision and have been described as having the ability to effectively multitask in challenging situations, meeting critical deadlines either independently or as part of a global team while operating in a demanding, dynamic, but disciplined environment.As an ex instructor in the South African military achieving the rank of sergeant, I have the ability to effectively lead a team by being committed and dedicated always focusing on the end goal. These years in the military lay the basis for my ability to motivate others while operating in a demanding, high stress, disciplined environment.
