I am a real estate development professional and connector! The skills I have developed throughout a varied real estate career allow me to move projects efficiently from hypothetical to leased or sold. Development requires the ability to solve problems, not just find them, and this process involves a myriad of consultants and stakeholders. Selecting and managing these individuals and groups and keeping projects on track are abilities on which I pride myself. In addition, I partner with, and provide counsel, networking and referrals, and strategic real estate advice to, all participants in the real estate industry, and business development is and has been a key part of my entire career - knowing how to connect people and companies is what I do.I have counseled and acted as outside general counsel to public and private business, senior management and boards of directors on real estate, finance and corporate issues. My eight plus years with the Raleigh office of a global law firm, as a member of the real estate, real estate finance, corporate and securities teams, provided vast experience on large and complex real estate transactions. Previously, I worked in Raleigh with a national law firm, representing landlords and tenants, purchasers and sellers and corporations in the analysis, negotiation and closing of commercial real estate transactions for various property types including distribution, warehouse, office, retail, industrial, multifamily, medical and hospitality properties.I have an eCornell Commercial Real Estate Certificate from Cornell University, am certified as a LEED Green Associate, am certified in Argus Enterprise and am a licensed North Carolina real estate agent.I am proud to work for our community in various capacities, having served on the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, as a current member of the NC State Foundation board of directors and as a longtime member and past President of the NC State University Alumni Association.Working with people and teaming up to complete projects is what I love to do.
