Wireless has become a key enabler of the Internet of Things & Industry 4.0 and is central to a successful Pervasive Sensing™ strategy. This strategy utilizes innovative sensing and strategic interpretation to deliver actionable information. Properly executed, a Pervasive Sensing strategy can help a chemical facility achieve top quartile performance in process yield & throughput, asset reliability, health & safety, and energy consumption. What's most exciting is that all this can be done with proven and secure technologies in wireless, cloud, and analytics. It can be done on-premise at a single site or in the cloud across an entire enterprise. Additionally, it can be done as an upfront capital project or "as-a-service" operational investment - with most projects having a payback between 6 months and 2 years. The rules of the game are truly changing. Exciting times ahead.
