I have been working in the web design and development industry since 2000. In that time, I have worked on a large variety of web sites and applications, both large and small. I have experience working primarily with PHP, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS and JavaScript and have used these throughout my career to create solutions based on client needs. I am also quite familiar with several CMS platforms, but have enjoyed the most success with Drupal and Kentico. I like to focus particularly on usability and feel that I have a strong sense of what users will want and how they will interact with web sites and applications. I also have a keen eye for design and above average skills in taking user interfaces from blank screens to fully realized and highly functional experiences.I have been an adjunct professor teaching web design for multiple semesters at West Virginia State University as well as an adjunct teaching audio/video production at Bridgemont Community and Technical College. In both instances, I was responsible not only for teaching the course, but for developing the curriculum. I love learning and growing with every project and thrive when there are challenges that need to be overcome. I like to think of myself as an innovative thinker who does not back down from new or untested situations. If something needs learned, I will be the first to dive right in and figure it out. At the same time, if a problem arises that I recognize as something I have seen before, I'm just as quick to recognize that and deliver a solution based on my previous experience.
