Right now I'm at Hearst Television in Washington, D.C. I've always been passionate about two things: serving small communities and politics. The Washington Bureau brings together both of those things, giving me a front row seat to history. I've had the opportunity to interview lawmakers in the halls and rotundas of Congress, sit in the courtroom as a former President was indicted, and watch the nation recover from a global pandemic. I've also gotten to grow my managerial skills, assisting in the daily management of a team of 14 people, allowing my supervisors space to focus on the bigger picture. Over my 10+ years in news, I've learned how to be both competitive and compassionate, discerning and brave, and honed my business instincts in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, Charleston, South Carolina and New York City. I've covered a wide range of stories, including hurricanes, tornados, shooting tragedies and political events. When I'm not consuming the latest headlines, I play the piano, violin, and passable guitar. I take the occasional yoga class and can be found most days outdoors, tending to my garden and tropical plant collection.I look forward to connecting!
