The intended impact of the transformation endeavors to improve donor reporting, automate manual processes, consolidate disparate data and systems, and improve processes across Finance, Supply Chain, and Human Resource functions. Role: As the engagement manager, Don was responsible for leading and managing a business transformation effort at a leading national research university and preeminent, comprehensive public institution of higher education supporting 67,000 students and 22,000 faculty and staff. The delivered solution focused on improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance, projects and grants management, and procure to pay functions across four unique campuses including an academic health care and research center.

As a Manager at Deloitte Consulting, Don served various clients including a Fortune 500 global leader in engineering, procurement and construction services.Role: As the Cutover Lead, Don was responsible for the planning, management, and execution of mock and production cutovers involving over 400 resources across 18 distinct teams for one of the largest, global Oracle EBS implementations to date. Specific activities included blackout calendar planning/negotiation, cutover plan and reporting design, command center planning, contingency planning, coordination of continuity plans across functional teams, and cutover execution. Role: As the financial subledgers lead, Don was responsible for leading a team of Deloitte, client, and third party consultants through the detailed design, and build project phases of a complex, global, multi-wave, Oracle R12 roll out.

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, Don served various clients including a Fortune 500 Uniform and Career Apparel company and a Public Electricity Generation and Transmission Utility.Role: As the general ledger close and reporting team lead, Don led the general ledger team through the successful design, build, and deliver project phases of an Oracle R12 EBS implementation. He managed general ledger team tasks and resources, drafted and maintained the team workplan, performed conversion validation, monitored testing, and drove resolution to testing defects. In addition, Don helped transition and validate over 400 mass allocation formulas originally built in a summarized chart of accounts format and migrated them to a more detailed code block design.Role: As the PowerPlant Capital Asset and Portfolio Management project functional lead, Don managed functional team tasks, timelines, and deliverables. Additionally, he addressed project issues and managed resolutions to closure, created and facilitated system cutover plans and activities, and designed fixed assets conversion validation tools and processes.Role: As the fixed assets tax reporting solution lead, Don designed and implemented a custom reporting solution based on standard Oracle fixed assets tables and data. He led all phases of the project including analysis, requirements gathering, design, build, and testing. Role: As the general ledger and fixed assets lead, Don led his client through a complex chart of accounts re-design as well as a complicated fixed assets conversion from a highly customized legacy solution. He designed an overall financial solution that was flexible enough to provide accurate financial reporting to three different regulatory bodies: the SEC, the FERC, and the US Office of Management and Budget.

As a Consultant with Deloitte Consulting, Don served various clients including a Fortune 500 Aerospace and Defense company and a Fortune 500 global leader in the development, manufacture, and sale of orthopaedic products and services.Role: As the interface coordinator, Don coordinated development and testing for several layers of upstream and downstream legacy interfaces to the core PeopleSoft/SAP financial system, led SAP functional and technical teams to completion of FRICE deliverables, and partnered with interfacing system owners to assist in the analysis and resolution of system functionality gaps. In addition, he drafted functional specifications for new interfaces to legacy financial systems.Role: As an Oracle financials consultant, Don developed custom transaction level currency revaluation reports using Oracle discoverer. He also created and formalized a documentation process to trace accounting transactions through multiple Oracle EBS subledgers into the general ledger. In addition, Don assisted in configuring and maintaining consolidation, currency translation, and currency revaluation.

As a Systems Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, Don served various clients including a Top 10 ranked national investment bank and institutional brokerage and a Fortune 500 leader in the design and manufacture of specialty surgical instruments.Role: As an Oracle financials and HRMS consultant, Don assisted in the configuration and demonstration of Oracle EBS functionality as it related to the general ledger, payables, and iExpense. In addition, he assisted the financials and HRMS teams in the development of to be business process documentation.Role: As an Oracle financials consultant, Don configured and demonstrated the Oracle EBS iExpense and Payables modules, facilitated client meetings, created to be process flows and project scope documentation, and researched related leading practices.

Role: As the IT coordinator, Don provided software and hardware solutions to address departmental needs and increase overall efficiency, developed database applications to serve specific purposes for requesting departments, and designed and/or enhanced financial, demographic, statistical reports.

Role: As the network and database specialist, Don designed and implemented database applications. Additionally, he analyzed data and created financial, demographic, and productivity reports.
