I work on the Dart compiler team. My responsibility is language interoperability between Dart and C, C++, Rust, Go, Kotlin, Java, Swift, and Objective-C. I've been developing features for the Dart FFI (foreign function interface) which enables interoperability with languages compatible with C calling convention [1]. I started FFIgen [1], which consumes C, and Objective-C header files to generate Dart bindings which use Dart FFI. I started JNIgen [3] which does the same for Java and Kotlin. Currently, I am mostly working on being able to bundle native code with Dart packages [4].Every once in a while I get to implement some language feature in Dart, such as finalizers [5].We design these projects very much out in the open.
