About Disha C.

The Magic 8-Ball was one of the coolest things to me when I was a child. Especially when things would coincidentally turn out to be 'right.' So when I learned about next generation sequencing when I was older, it was really neat to see that a string of letters could actually dictate and predict so much about someone's life (with a lot more accuracy and probability).Realizing the power of our genome and the ability to decode our DNA has been incredibly empowering and I have seen its potential first hand from my education and experience in bioinformatics and genomics. There is so much to be said and done about how we can use this knowledge to help so many around us - from diagnostic odysseys to prenatal screenings, and so on. And simply put, this fascination is what keeps me in the biotech industry. I hope to work with fellow engineers, scientists, healthcare professionals, and others to take this passion into leadership roles that will allow me to pivot and guide products so we can continue improving human health.
