Kulan Oil is a local partner of ExxonMobil, so working in this Company gave me a huge experience in an international company. For about six months, I used to be their contract consultant, and after demonstrating my strengths and competencies, the Company offered me a position. I became a senior web programmer and had an ambitious task set for me: to develop a system for managing goods and its logistics, integrating dozens of warehouses all over the country and beyond. It was a tremendous experience. I joined that company having my bachelor's degree. EML owned two of the most popular news portals in Kazakhstan – TengriNews.kz, and Vesti.kz. This company allowed me to gain incredible experience in the fields of data storage, fast processing, data routing and analysis of user patterns. It was a big company with many technical specialists in the IT department, and I am proud that I contributed to the development of these Internet resources. It was my initiative to upgrade and redesign commenting interfaces; also developed a system for personalized newsletters and launched live mode video news project. A few times I was a speaker at the local IT conferences with topics explaining some of our technology solutions and approaches.

My first projects in that company were the development of Internet services for The X-factor Kazakhstan and The Voice of Kazakhstan television projects. These projects were somewhat challenging for me - because they contained several technological issues, which were not solved in the Company at that time. I.e., during live broadcasts, the audience actively visited web sites to comment or vote, and the servers did not withstand such many simultaneous connections. It is a small company, which explored the e-commerce market as they were creating online stores, portals through which we provided consulting services in the field of accounting and legal support; also, we were testing various methods for optimizing and promoting these resources. It was a necessary experience for me, in addition to many things that I learned in programming and developing UI - I gained some practice in related fields, such as marketing, teamwork, a methodology for planning and developing Internet projects.
