I lead the software development, making both project management and technical decisions. I was also contributing to the software itself, authoring critical and complex code.

My two business partners and I founded DJiNN Software Inc. in Feb 2002. Our passion is to deliver software better than the current industry standard. We create software that can be (a) built incrementally – to reduce our clients’ risk and initial costs, (b) easily maintained – since an application’s maintenance costs are typically greater than the initial development cost and (c) can be prototyped and delivered quickly.I was responsible for DJiNN Software’s corporate IT direction. I determined the technology for delivering our applications. I dictated the methodologies for gathering requirements, developed and tested solutions, and efficiently delivered them to our clients.• Steer company’s IT direction. Vendorlink.ca, formerly known as VCS, offers a web based vendor management program to hospitals nationwide. Vendorlink ensures that all vendors that are given access to the hospital have been credentialed (background, vaccinations, and training) and have agreed to hospital policies specific to their departments prior to entering the hospital. The Vendorlink program is all inclusive and offers many benefits to the vendors who pay for the program and to the hospitals that use the program.Vendorlink offre un programme basé sur le Web d'accréditation, de conformité et de contrôle d'accès des fournisseurs pour les hôpitaux de tout le pays. Multilevel Personalization and Customization Dynamic Site Framework• Designed and developed a J2EE application framework for providing internet services with multilevel personalization and customization.• Developed a fully J2EE-compliant 3½-tier HTML / JSP / Java / Oracle application, utilizing stateless and stateful EJB’s. Rolled out the application onto the ATG Dynamo application server.• Worked in a team of five, sharing responsibilities for the entire software lifecycle.Chiroclinix Development Leader• Developed a subscription web service for the chiropractic vertical.• Designed and implemented client and server components of the site, over seven versions. The site is driven by ATG Dynamo’s application, personalization and commerce servers running custom Java services, generating HTML dynamically from Dynamo Server Pages (JHTML) against an Oracle database.• Mentored a team of 6 developers through requirements, design and development. Corporate Toolkit and Utilities• Coded and unit tested classes for the corporate Java toolkit.• Created custom JSP tags for HTML forms and page layouts for corporate JSP library.• Wrote DOS, SQL*Plus, Oracle Export and Import and NMake scripts to automate development, QA and rollout tasks.

Facilitation• Led facilitation sessions with corporate clients to gather requirements and create project designs. Organized meeting notes into requirement and design documents.Siebel Connectivity• Led the design, delivery and implementation of the Siebel – mainframe interfaces for CRM applications. Created custom solutions to synchronize Siebel’s Oracle database to the client’s mainframe and third-party systems in batch and real-time modes.• Combined Oracle procedures, FTP scripts, C console executables, Group 1 data management tools, SQL Loader scripts, PL/SQL stored procedures, and Siebel EIM scripts to implement the interfaces. A DOS batch file coordinated component execution.Actuate Reporting• Led the Reporting sub-team in the Vantive / Actuate implementation for a call center, inventory and procurement application.• Gathered report requirements. Designed the reports, supervised and participated in the report production and implementation. Actuate was used against an Oracle database.

Insurance Claim Real Time Adjudication System (AUTUM)• Created a 3-tier VB / C++ / Oracle application. The highlight of the system is dynamic compilation and execution of business logic rules stored in the database. • Coded and unit tested key server components for version 1.0. The C++ code was written on Window NT and implemented on AIX and HP UNIX.• Led the server development team for version 2.0. Gathered and documented functional requirements using UML and Rational Rose. Designed extensions to the 1.0 implementation, including additional eligibility functionality; enrollment import utility; and claim reversals. Corporate Toolkit and Utilities• Coded and unit tested classes for the corporate C++ toolkit. Created both original classes and Rogue Wave and STL Object Space encapsulations.• Wrote AWK and Korn shell utility scripts. • Created VB applets to move test data between Oracle, MS Access, and text files.
