• Lead, coach and develop the staff at all levels of the business• Lead the delivery of an effective Site Environmental, Health and Safety and Risk (Asset Protection) Program including compliance with all corporate and external policies and regulations• Lead the delivery of an effective Site Quality Management Systems Program• Oversee the development and implementation of the Annual Business Plans• Manage the sites Budgeting, P&L and Forecasting Processes• Deliver the Site Key Performance Indicators including Profit and Loss Outcomes• Determine and implement optimum operating strategies in line with the business/market needs• Liaise with various Internal Business Teams, External Suppliers, Unions, Customers and Community Organizations• Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement and performancemanagement• Deliver the sites Performance Improvement Plan• Develop, implement and manage the sites Management Systems Implementation Plan• Manage the Business KPI’s and 1 on 1 Performance Management Program for the site• Negotiate Collective Agreements and other supplier agreements• Represent CHH Woodproducts NZ within the Community• Lead new product development initiatives• Provide mentoring and coaching support for our sawmill lead team in Whangarei and other parts of the business

As a member of the project lead team I was responsible for leading resources within the CHH HR, Supply Chain, Fibre Supply, Sales and Marketing and Operations teams in order to coordinate the necessary activities for restructuring, training, and material supply components required to develop the Plymill through the construction phase into a fully operational production facility. Lead, manage, negotiate and/or develop the transitional activities for the life cycle of a +$50m Project including:• Concept, Project Development and OEM selection• HAZOP Process during the concept stages of the project• Safety Program that complies with all corporate and external policies and regulations• Transition Team capable of delivering Project Key Deliverables• Selection and development of staff and operators • Training Program Development• Compliance with all environmental requirements and permits• Annual Business Plan in line with the Project Key Deliverables • Operating Strategies including shift structures and manning levels• Fibre Contracts – Take or Pay Risk Management• Spare Part Contracts with OEM Suppliers • Equipment Commissioning Plans• Productivity Continuity during transition from the old site to the new site• Consultation and Relationship Management• Project and Site Budget Protection• Represent CHH WPA within the greater CommunitySecondary to my role on the project I was seconded to co deliver 5 of the 8 sessions of the CHH Woodproducts Australia Leadership Program - Leading the Way, which was delivered to all Senior Executives and Middle Management across the business.
