When I was a young boy, my first job was delivering for a local newspaper. Back at that time, my job was to deliver as well as try to increase my route by adding new houses to the route. Not only did I have to deliver, but I also had to collect for the newspaper and go to neighbours asking if they wished to subscribe. It wasn’t the delivering and collecting that I really enjoyed, it was the talking to people and adding new subscribers. The selling aspect of it. As time went by, I picked up other routes close to my existing route and ended up ‘hiring’ friends to deliver the papers for me. This allowed me to concentrate on growing the routes. I loved it. It seemed natural. I made a pretty good income for a kid at the time. That was my first taste of sales. Fast forward several years and I have sold a wide variety of products and services. From my first “real” sales job selling industrial thermometers and pressure gauges, to IT Research, industrial waste removal, radio advertisements and even automobiles. I have loved finding the needs of customers and solving their issues. My greatest feeling of accomplishment is the service that I provide before, during and after the sale. Making the customer feel like they are the only customer I have. Striving to give the customer that feeling that they are special and deserve to be treated as such. I believe that, when I give someone the service, the honesty and transparency that they deserve, then they will keep coming back to deal with me time and time again. It is that philosophy that keeps me going day in and day out.
