• Led product management for the MapQuest Data Ingestion (DI) team, responsible for POI data management across MapQuest consumer and B2B products. The Data Ingestion system was used to ingest and match as many as 100 POI feeds from partners including Infogroup, Yelp, Yext, YP, Priceline, CityGrid, and B2B enterprise clients. The DI system also extracted and standardized information using a template and module-based system to provide business listing data to multiple internal partners across MapQuest and AOL. An improved matching algorithm was introduced in 2017 that used machine learning to improve accuracy and speed the ingestion process.• Led rebuilding of the MapQuest Location Services Geocoder that launched in March 2014, replacing a decade-old legacy system with a more easily evolved product. Used by MapQuest consumer applications and thousands of enterprise clients, the Location Services Geocoder expanded since its initial launch with over 20 additional production releases through mid-2015 to provide continual and measurable geocoding improvements. Before handing off product responsibility in June 2015, the final release testing showed a 98.3% point or address level geocoding accuracy.• Created Search Ahead, a patented type ahead product for POIs, locations, and categories.
