About Danielle Ciribassi (Seck)
I am building bridges for growth and opportunity to and from Africa, and have been doing so passionately for over 18 years of my life, with experience in over 14 countries across the continent.I built bridges by making Africa my home, living between my host family in Senegal and the United States from 2009-2017; where I worked with the African Diaspora in Washington, DC and Chicago. Then, I created my own Senegalese family with my husband in Dakar in 2017, Ameth Seck, and my three young boys born in Dakar. My life’s purpose is to create opportunities for other people in Africa, and give them the tools they need to be able to confront the horizon head-on with courage. I especially love to see small and medium companies (SME’s) both locally and from abroad, succeed in achieving the African Dream.I build bridges over linguistic barriers, now trilingual in English, Wolof, standard French, as well as multiple dialects of African French. Hassaniya is next! (A dialect related to Arabic in Mauritania).I build bridges over economic gaps by building institutions dedicated to empowering people to access markets both in Africa and abroad, organizing international forums and events as a platform for exchange and learning (the US-Africa Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC, Africa Pioneers, and more). I built bridges over gaps in business knowledge and risk by launching a market entry advising firm (Niofar Consulting), which provides business intelligence, market studies, advocacy, project management, and more to our international clients. We link their objectives in the local market; reconciling challenges with benefits, and connecting them with viable partners, suppliers, and solutions.I build bridges over cultural barriers by sharing my unique background and experience through cross-cultural training, teaching multicultural teams tools to collaborate with increased sensitivity and efficiency with their partners and colleagues.I have close friends, colleagues, and partners whom I love and appreciate from all over the African Diaspora; from Mauritania, DRC, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia, Cameroon, Gabon, Guinea, Tanzania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and many many more. We have made things happen in Chicago, Washington, DC, Virginia, Maryland, Paris, Dakar, and Nouakchott.🌍Africa is the future. Africa is rising. I invite you to come along for the ride!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
