The outstanding project is expected to be the largest selling product that our product line has, MUDGARD downhole filter. As well as this I am expected to:- contribute to design reviews in discussing new tools and concepts.- perform FEA on tools I have designed.- help investigate field failures.- set up testing including writing all documentation and completing Risk Assessments relating to the testing.- assembly of tools where required.- complete re-work and help support the sustaining department where needed.- assist with documentation and DMS population- completion of DfX work- help existing staff move in to Schlumberger systems which they have not used before.I have been able to take numerous training courses during this time, as well as being a local leader for the mechanical community which involves setting up local events revolving around Mechanical Engineering and presentations.

The key responsibilities of this job were, but not limited to:- Producing accurate drawings for customer approval and also foundry and machining drawings.- Providing customers with 3D models in a timely manner.- Providing technical support to both customers and the Chinese Product Centre in Shanghai.- Up keep of online and in house registers- Up keep of the online quoting system- Ensuring the training of new staff is achieved to a high level and writing of Training Manuals.- Leading two NPD projects. - Keeping Standard Operating Procedures up to date in line with the new EMS business model- Onsite design work at customers locationIn September 2010 I was moved from Lasalle to Accelerated Completions Engineering (ACE) Team. This team was to design and qualify Frac Systems and get them into the field in three to six months. This exposed me to:- Research the needs of the tool.- Design from scratch the 3D models and producing accurate drawings.- Talking to third party manufacturers about designs.- Perform seal calculations and FEA analysis.- Create test plans for the tools.- Sustain the product line by updating engineering drawings if manufacturers find errors.I was again transferred internally in September 2012 to the NPD department of the Packers product line. I spent my time working on four projects developing three packer systems, two for cased hole, one open hole, and one project which focused on a Contraction Joint. This position exposed me to new internal standards as well as international standards. I am more confident now with:- Surface coatings, finishes and material selection.- Organise drawings in both ASME and ISO standards.- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).
