I was promoted to Senior Project Manager in February 2023. This kept the same responsibilities and continued until Animal Dynamics collapsed in September 2023.

On joining AD in May 2022, I collaborated with a team of four Project Managers and Project Engineers overseeing UAV development. Initially tasked with managing seven mechanical systems, my role expanded to include Prototype Production of our initial two vehicles.My responsibilities included:- Ensuring timely progress of assigned systems within Sprint Delivery process- Assisting cross-functional teams with planning, dependencies, and blocker management- Presenting project plans, critical development paths, and timelines to Engineering Management and stakeholders- Ensuring PMO activities comply with internal and external standards- Collaborating with Technicians and Quality department to develop production processes- Planning prototype vehicle builds and identifying production tools and jigsAdditionally, I contributed to designing and implementing new PMO processes as we scaled the company.

Relocated to Houston, TX from Aberdeen, joining M-I SWACO's Rotating Control Devices Engineering Team within the DPM Product Line. Initially involved in Sustaining and New Product Development, I assumed varied responsibilities:- Managed multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets, reporting progress to Program Manager.- Represented the company on the API sub-committee, overseeing qualification of new components as per API 16RCD standards.- Conducted drawings, FEA, and manual reviews, along with field failure investigations and risk mitigation.- Transitioned to fully lead two New Product Development projects, guiding cross-functional teams through design and regulatory requirements.During this tenure, I pursued professional development, attending the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals course in Fundamentals of Reliability and Maintenance and achieving PRINCE2 Practitioner accreditation.

In addition to my role as Design for Manufacturability; I was assigned as Project Manager to a New Product Development project taking a new tool from Cradle to "Grave".This project is being managed in line with the Schlumberger Concurrent Lifecycle Management process, this involves going through Critical Decision Points and obtaining approvals from upper management to proceed similar to a Waterfall methodology.The role includes:- Forecasting and Budget- Risk Analysis- Organising the team and workflow- Presenting project critical decision points

I have been the lead engineer on two projects one of which is now completed and the other is expected to be complete prior to the end of Q4 2017. The outstanding project is expected to be the largest selling product that our product line has, MUDGARD downhole filter. As well as this I am expected to:- contribute to design reviews in discussing new tools and concepts.- perform FEA on tools I have designed.- help investigate field failures.- set up testing including writing all documentation and completing Risk Assessments relating to the testing.- assembly of tools where required.- complete re-work and help support the sustaining department where needed.- assist with documentation and DMS population- completion of DfX work- help existing staff move in to Schlumberger systems which they have not used before.I have been able to take numerous training courses during this time, as well as being a local leader for the mechanical community which involves setting up local events revolving around Mechanical Engineering and presentations.

For three and a half years I was involved in the design of Lasalle Cable Protectors in a number of positions. I started in a Designer position before being thrust into the Lead Designer role and after this position was removed; I returned to the position of Designer. The key responsibilities of this job were, but not limited to:- Producing accurate drawings for customer approval and also foundry and machining drawings.- Providing customers with 3D models in a timely manner.- Providing technical support to both customers and the Chinese Product Centre in Shanghai.- Up keep of online and in house registers- Up keep of the online quoting system- Ensuring the training of new staff is achieved to a high level and writing of Training Manuals.- Leading two NPD projects. - Keeping Standard Operating Procedures up to date in line with the new EMS business model- Onsite design work at customers locationIn September 2010 I was moved from Lasalle to Accelerated Completions Engineering (ACE) Team. This team was to design and qualify Frac Systems and get them into the field in three to six months. This exposed me to:- Research the needs of the tool.- Design from scratch the 3D models and producing accurate drawings.- Talking to third party manufacturers about designs.- Perform seal calculations and FEA analysis.- Create test plans for the tools.- Sustain the product line by updating engineering drawings if manufacturers find errors.I was again transferred internally in September 2012 to the NPD department of the Packers product line. I spent my time working on four projects developing three packer systems, two for cased hole, one open hole, and one project which focused on a Contraction Joint. This position exposed me to new internal standards as well as international standards. I am more confident now with:- Surface coatings, finishes and material selection.- Organise drawings in both ASME and ISO standards.- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).
